The Guide to Dark Lipstick
Are you wanting to try the Gothic inspired new make-up trend that everyone seems to be trying out these days? Well you are in luck! Here's some guides and tips to wearing dark colored lipstick
If you are of darker skin tone and you want to try the trend you are best to go with a dark plum or burgundy color lipstick. Try L'Oreal Paris Infallible Rouge lipstick in Persistent Plum, $7.99 at target, or Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry, $4.99 at target.
If you're of very fair skin tone and you'd like to go bold, go for shades such as brick-wall red and berry. Try Maybelline Moisture Color Sensational Lip-color in Dazzling Plum or YVES SAINT LAURENT Rouge Volupté Shine.
If you wanna go all the way on the the dark lipstick scale and try black, then you try one that is light or dark enough to complement your skin tone and hair color. You probably want to make the rest of your make-up dark as well, but do over dramatize it or otherwise you'll end up looking like a happy mine or really depressed clown. Ugh, and you definitely don't want that! A good lipstick to try is Hautecore by MAC.
